Technical trends and professional development
Get access to valuable information and resources such as Mechanical Engineering Magazine, newsletters, the AccessEngineering online reference tool, and discounts on courses, technical journals, publications, conferences and more! ASME National membership also grants access to their very own career center and mentoring program where students can search through and get advice on the job market. The mentoring program also gives you a unique opportunity to build a relationship with an experienced engineering professional. ASME National is a great way to expand your professional network and improve your skills!
Student competitions
Is Alumni Cup the highlight of your spring semester? Are you itching to put your skills to the test in a competition against other students? ASME National membership gives you and your fellow students the opportunity to compete in design competitions. Attend ASME E-Fests™ throughout the year and take part in the Student Design Competition, Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC), IAM3D Challenge, or Old Guard Competition. The perfect way for you to combine your technical skills with fun! If you are interest in starting a team through ASME UMD, just contact us!
